I provide both in person and online services. However, online services have limitations that in-person therapy does not. I would be happy to discuss the prerequisites and restrictions when providing Telehealth services if you have further questions.
Well that depends.
Therapy is designed to be short term; (whew, that's good to know). That being said, the length of therapy depends on what is going on in your life; how long it's been going on and how much it is impacting your daily functioning. We will work together to develop your goals and come up with a plan to reach them.
What a great question! The easiest way to get started is by clicking the 'Request Appointment' button. You'll be taken to the online scheduling page where you can pick the date and time of your appointment. All your paperwork can be completed online saving you time at your first appointment.
The first session is much like meeting someone for the first time. There are introductions and getting to know one another. I have a short time period to get to know you so I'll ask questions like, tell me about family life growing up; what do you like to do for fun; how you handle stress (or don't handle it) and what brings you in today to name a few.
If you are in crisis, that means you need immediate attention and that goes beyond what I am able to do for you. Please call 911 and ask for a CIT (Crisis Incident Trained) officer or go to your nearest Emergency Room. I will be part of the after crisis care treatment plan so we make sure we continue to move forward in meeting your goal(s).
